Payday and guarantor loan refunds
Payday and guarantor lenders that offer expensive short-term credit have a duty to check that they are offering fair and affordable loans to their customers. It doesn’t matter if a guarantor is used to obtain the loan – the Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”) guidelines that they must follow tell them that the loan has to be affordable for you.
If you feel that you were lent money on an unaffordable basis and this has trapped you in a cycle of debt, interest and charges, we can make a complaint to your lenders. This can be particularly effective if you have many other monthly credit commitments, if you have taken out further advances with the same payday lenders, or if you have frequently struggled to make, or missed, your payments.
If you fall into this category and you wish to make a payday lending complaint, get in contact with us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We work on a no-win no-fee basis, and will only take a fee if you receive a refund or write-off of your debt.
Here is a non-exhaustive list of some of the lenders we can complain to if you feel your payday or guarantor loans were unaffordable:
- 118118 Money
- Amigo Loans (guarantor loans)
- Likely Loans
- Mr Lender
- Novaloans (Cash4UNow)
- Provident Personal Credit
- SafetyNet Credit
Unfortunately, we cannot help in cases where the lender has gone into administration or is currently providing redress through a planned scheme. Therefore, we cannot look into loans from lenders including Wonga, Pounds Till Payday and 247 Moneybox.
